Position: Middle School Teacher

The Pioneer Valley Christian Academy has an opening for a middle school teacher. A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Education is required along with a strong Christian testimony. Tentative courses for this position would be: Literature 7, English 7, Bible 8, Literature 8, and English 8.

Spiritual Qualities

It is expected that the teacher will:

  • acknowledge Christ as Savior and seek to live life as His disciple;
  • believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God – our standard for faith and practice;
  • believe and actively support the school’s Statement of Faith (see Employment Application);
  • demonstrate a desire for spiritual growth as evidenced by his or her prayer life, Bible study, and spiritual outreach to others;
  • be a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions toward others (Luke 6:40);
  • sign and live by the school’s Lifestyle Statement (see Employment Application) as a condition for employment and continued employment in this ministry in regards to God’s Biblical standards for sexual conduct;
  • evidence the Fruit of the Spirit in dealing with people, and

Position: High School Humanities Teacher

The Pioneer Valley Christian Academy has an opening for a high school Humanities teacher. A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in History is required along with a strong Christian testimony. Tentative courses for this position would be: World History, United States History I and II, English 9, and a Literature class.

Position: Cafeteria/Kitchen Aide
Age:  18 or Older

Pioneer Valley Christian Academy is looking for a qualified individual to serve as a cafeteria/kitchen aid, Monday-Friday.

Spiritual Qualities

It is expected that the cafeteria/kitchen aide will:

Position: Custodian
Age:  18 or Older

Pioneer Valley Christian Academy is looking for a qualified individual to serve as a custodian for approximately 2 hours a night, Monday-Friday.

Position: Housekeeping

Age:  14 or Older

Pioneer Valley Christian Academy is looking for qualified individuals to serve as a housekeeper for approximately 4 hours per week. This is position is for approximately 4 hours every Saturday morning 8AM-Noon.

Position Responsibilities

  • Operate various mechanized cleaning equipment, such as vacuums.
  • Maintain the facility through washing and cleaning of equipment and furnishings.
  • Work in damp, dusty and dirty areas.
  • Dust furniture, light fixtures, window sills, etc.
  • Clean walls and doors.
  • Mop (wet) floors.
  • Clean wash basins, mirrors, and commodes.
  • Wash windows.
  • Follow instructions for use of cleaning solutions (all procedures for solution use will be part of training).
  • Use safety precautions.

  • Be aware of and operate within all appropriate safety standards
