Have fun dressing like a teacher! What’s your favorite subject? Maybe you love art? Dress like Mrs. Annis. Maybe you love gym? Dress like Mr. Porter.

FRIDAY, MAY 6, 2:00PM

Did you know that PVCA hosts the LARGEST PLANT SALE in all of Western Mass? The 31st Annual PVCA Plant Sale will kick-off on Friday, May 6, from 2:00-7:00 PM in the Academy’s double gymnasium. The Friday Early Opening is for PVCA families and their friends. Over 10,000+ plants to choose from AND the Chick-fil-A Enfield food truck will be parked outside during the sale!

PLANT SALE
SATURDAY, MAY 7, 7:00 AM

Can’t make it on Friday?  Shop on Saturday. The PVCA Plant Sale is open to the public on Saturday, May 7, 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM. The PVCA Newspaper Club will be selling coffee and Donut Dip donuts, AND the Chick-fil-A Enfield food truck will be parked outside selling their delicous chicken biscuits, chicken sandwiches, etc.

PVCA’S 50TH YEAR
PRAISE & CELEBRATION CONCERT
FRIDAY, MAY 13, 6:30 PM

Pioneer Valley Christian Academy is celebrating 50 years in Christian Education and will celebrate with an end of year praise and celebration concert. There will be performances by current students (Kindergarten-Grade 5, Middle School, and High School), alumni, faculty, and staff. More details to follow.

  • Students in grades 7-12 are welcome to apply to be volunteers.
  • Students in grade 6 may apply to volunteer if their parent is present with them.
  • Slots are LIMITED and all students must speak with Mrs. Funchion prior to signing up.

SATURDAY, ARPIL 30

Volunteers are needed to transfer items from plant sale storage to the gymnasium.

Note: Volunteers should wear work clothes, sturdy shoes/work boots, and bring a pair of working gloves.

MONDAY, MAY 2

Volunteers are needed to help prepare and set up for the plant sale.  Prep work includes and is not limited to: lifting and placing masonite sheets to protect the gymnasium floor, lifting and setting up plant sale tables and plant displays, attaching protective coverings to the exits and entrances, applying protective coverings to plant displays/tables.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 4

Volunteers are needed to help prepare and set up for the plant sale.  Prepwork includes and is not limited to: lifting and setting up plant sale tables and plant displays, attaching protective coverings to the exits and entrances, applying protective coverings to plant displays/tables, hanging up plant and pricing signs, etc.

THURSDAY, MAY 5

SCHOOL CLOSINGS & DELAYS

All notifications will be released by 6:00 AM

PVCA One Call Now

One Call Now is a service PVCA uses to alert the community with important notifications. Voice or text messages will be sent to you if our school must close or delay opening due to weather.

ALL PVCA families are automatically signed up for One Call Now unless they opt out.

Be sure PVCA has your cell phone # on file and your cell provider allows you to receive text messages from a third party number.

The PVCA dress code, or standard of dress, is posted on the website under the parents tab. Please review the dress code to be sure your son or daughter is following it.

 

Common dress code violations are:

  • wearing shirts that are not polos such as t-shirts

  • wearing sweatshirts and hoodies with words or images

  • wearing shorts, dresses, or skirts that do not follow the fit requirements

 

Shorts and skirts must be no shorter than three inches above the middle of the knee for the purposes of modesty and ease at play times.

Leggings are also not allowed unless they are being worn for warmth underneath a skirt or dress.

Sneakers are required on gym days or the student will not be permitted to participate in gym class activities.
