SEVEN STEPS YOUR FAMILY CAN TAKE TO STAY HEALTHY

WEAR A FACE MASK
Wear a face mask when out in public. The mask should fit securely over the nose and chin. Keep an extra mask in your car, purse, or backpack just in case your mask gets misplaced, dirty, or breaks.

PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING
When out in public, be mindful to stay at least six feet apart from other people.

PRACTICE GOOD HAND HYGIENE
Wash hands for twenty seconds. For children, have them sing “Happy Birthday” twice. Work up a lather and scrub the front and back of the hands, as well as in between the fingers.

AVOID COUGHING OR SNEEZING INTO YOUR HAND
Cough or sneeze into a tissue. If a tissue is not available, cover your cough or sneeze using your elbow.

KEEP SICK FAMILY MEMBERS HOME
Stay at home if you are feeling unwell. To see a list of symptoms to watch for, visit the COVID-19 Resource Pages.

STOP SHAKING HANDS
Hands carry bacteria and viruses. Consider nodding or waving as an alternative to shaking hands.
