SPRINGFIELD HAS BEEN OFFICIALLY DECLARED A “RED ZONE”
Each family’s actions affect every other family at our school, either directly or indirectly, and we ask that you please remember this, as you wisely consider the choices that you make.
These are unprecedented times; they call for unity, accountability, and transparency. Let us be reminded of the spirit of Philippians 2:3, which admonishes “….in humility value others above yourselves.”
HELP US REMAIN OPEN
As we continue to do as much as possible to offer full-time, in person instruction and to ensure the safety of our school community, we fully acknowledge that staying open and COVID free is a reality only through a concerted effort and continued partnership with you, the school families. In other words, we MUST work together to remain open.
WAYS YOU CAN HELP
DO NOT participate or let your students participate in any unnecessary gatherings.
DO NOT travel unnecessarily.
DO NOT send your student to school with a fever.
DO NOT send your student to school if he/she is experiencing any other COVID-19 symptoms.
DO NOT send your student to school if he/she has been in close contact with a person who is displaying any COVID symptoms.

A MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR OF STUDENT LIFE
ATTENTION KINDERGARTEN AND GRADE ONE PARENTS
Kindergarten and first grade students are presently being evaluated by the Discovery Program Educational Therapists to determine who may be at risk for reading failure.
Using the SEARCH scan, the Educational Therapists assess students between the ages of 5 years and 6 years and 11 months for pre-reading skills.
Students who have at-risk score are offered a program called TEACH. This program directly addresses weaker skills and is designed to help prevent reading failure. A parent meeting will be scheduled to discuss students recommended for the TEACH program.
Please go to the Discovery Program web page and learn more about SEARCH and TEACH, as well as the other Discovery programs offered at PVCA. There are additional fees for these programs.
