IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear Parents and Staff,

Last evening, Helen Caulton-Harris, the Springfield Health and Human Services Commissioner, clarified Mayor Sarno’s Executive Order on mask wearing. She stated that “the mask mandate does not apply to private schools.”

Getting answers: Springfield mask mandate doesn’t apply to private schools

Therefore, masks will remain optional at the Academy unless a new mandate is given by the Springfield Health Department or the Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Your cooperation is needed for the continued well-being of our students and staff. Continue to practice all protocol to lessen the spread of COVID-19. Please do not send your children to school if they are exhibiting  ANY symptoms which would indicate that they may not be feeling well.

We continue to navigate an extremely difficult time in our country, but we are confident that “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1).

Sincerely,

Timothy Duff
