Prom Early Dismissal
May 20 @ 7:45 am - 11:40 am
The High School Prom this year will be held at the Twin Hills Country Club in Longmeadow, Massachusetts on Friday, May 20, from 5:30 PM to 11:00 PM. It will be an elegant evening designed for the students to wear formal attire, enjoy delicious food, and have an opportunity to dance with their peers. The event will be chaperoned by an administrator, along with several faculty members. Please note that the Prom is the only school-sponsored event for that evening; therefore, students should be picked up at 10:45 PM. The cost is $50.00 per person, payable by cash or check, in person, to Mrs. Mozdzanowski.
Students in grades 9-11 are required to attend school until the 11:40 AM, whether or not they plan to attend the Prom. We request that you make arrangements for your student(s) to be picked up promptly at that time. Students who do not attend school on that day are not permitted to attend the Prom. We would request that all appointments for hair, nail, and makeup be scheduled after the 11:40 dismissal time.
You will find attached a Student Dance Agreement Form, which students, and their parents need to read, sign, and submit it when they buy their tickets. If a student wishes to bring a guest he/she must complete a Prom Guest Permission Form as well.
The PVCA dress code standards of neat, modest, and appropriate extend to the selection of Prom apparel. Expensive gowns, tuxedos, and rental of limousines are not required; these options are at the discretion of the parents. As a formal event, students should consider the following:
Boys: Jacket, dress shirt and tie, dress pants (cargo pants are NOT dress pants),
and dress shoes; tuxedoes, of course, are acceptable.
Girls: See enclosed Prom Dress Checklist form.
Young ladies are required to bring their dress or gown to the school for review by Mrs. Witherow or Mrs. Mozdzanowski. A student’s dress must be approved before a ticket can be purchased. Students should hold to a high standard in honor of the Lord, our graduates, parents, and the school. Those inviting a guest from another school should share these dress code guidelines with their date.
