Pioneer Valley Christian Academy’s As Schools Match Wits team had a very impressive showing in their opening match this past Saturday, January 6. PVCA defeated Deerfield Academy 330-75. Brandon Aikman (2024), Brad Hill (2024), Alejandro Rodriguez (2025), and Aiden Duff (2025) did an amazing job representing the Academy.
A total of 38 schools are competing this year, and the top 8 point-getters will advance to the quarterfinals. PVCA was the first match of this season and will need to wait until the end of March to hear their final standings. By achieving such a high score, they will likely be in the top 8, and possibly around 3rd or 4th overall. Last year, the team scored 290 and that landed them in 5th place overall.
